FAQ

  • How do I know if I should see a psychologist?

Consider seeking the help of a psychologist if you're experiencing symptoms of distress, such as persistent feelings of sadness or anxiety, difficulty coping with daily problems or stress, major changes in sleeping or eating habits, or if you feel overwhelmed by a recent life event. Seeing a psychologist can be beneficial not only for resolving current issues but also for preventing future problems, helping you build resilience and cultivate a more fulfilling life.

  • What is counselling and who can benefit from it?

Counselling is a process that involves talking with a trained professional to help you explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviours in a safe and non-judgmental environment. It can be beneficial for anyone seeking support or guidance through difficult life transitions, personal challenges or mental health concerns. Counselling can also serve as a preventative measure—helping clients develop strategies to manage potential stressors effectively, ensuring better mental resilience in the future. Furthermore, it is often sought after for its role in conflict resolution, whether it's within personal relationships, family dynamics or even professional settings.

  • How can a support worker help me?

A support worker can assist you in various ways, depending on your individual needs. They can provide practical support, such as helping with daily tasks or transportation to appointments. Additionally, they can offer emotional support and guidance through difficult times, working alongside other mental health professionals to help you reach your goals and improve your overall wellbeing.
